How is the house cleaned?
The house is professionally cleaned after each renter leaves and before the next arrives. Any concerns should be addressed with the owner's immediately upon arrival. We have never had a complaint!
What are the weekly rates?
The rates are $1000/week but the owners may have special rates depending on what time of year the rental is happening.
Call or email - they are nice people. :)
Can the house be rented for less than a week?
Yes, but not in June, July, and August as the culture of South Haven homes is weekly vacation rentals. The rest of the year is considered to be "off season" to the owners and they are willing to negotiate both prices and rental length.
When are the check in and check out times?
Our guests can check in at 2:00pm on Saturday and check out by 10:00am the following Saturday.
Is there WIFI and Cable TV in the house?
Yes. Our guests enjoy free internet access and cable tv in the home.
Do I bring linens or are they provided?
Bath towels and bed linens are provided. It is recommended that you bring beach towels.
Is there a washer and dryer in the house?
There is not a washer/dryer in the house, but local laundromats are very nearby.
Is the limit really six people?
Yes. It is very difficult to have more than six sleep comfortably. More importantly, there is only one bathroom.
What about renting in the off season?
The owners often rent in the off season and love having people in the house. There is a winter sports culture in and around South Haven - skiing, and snowmobiling opportunities not too far away and an ice-skating rink downtown. Some just use it for a "getaway" in the cold winter months.
Is there a grill?
Yes. A charcoal (not propane) grill is available at the patio on the north side of the house.
Do I sign a contract?
Yes - it is best for both parties concerned that a contract is executed. It is very simple, very helpful, and helps define expectations and parameters.
Is there a way to pay other than using PayPal?
Yes - please email via the Contact page, and ask about sending a check to the owner directly.
